Just a tiny nugget!
Oh, that is Dylan! I am so far behind on current Venom comics that I forgot his Venom had those wrist chains. From a distance I thought they were REALLY veiny arms like how Mark Bagley often drew them, but those are very visibly chains now that I got a closer look at them.
While it might be a bit unrefined, I still really like that Cap redesign. You've always had a good eye for making redesigns feel modern while keeping that classic appeal. It's a hard balance to nail, but you got it.
While schooling might be eating up a lot of your free time, you still managed to make some pretty terrific stuff here despite that. By the way, glad to hear that's going well for you so far and that you've got a good handle on it. Best of luck in the future!
Yeah, without his ‘dragon’ symbol, Dylan looks almost indistinguishable from Eddie’s Venom.
I’m glad you like the Cap design! Good to know I found the balance between modern and classic, it’s something I always work to maintain.
Big thanks, my dude! It’s your support that helps me keep a handle on things—I really appreciate it!
Love the colors and expression on this!
thank you so much!
This such a niche idea, but you're so right for it. This image was completely inescapable in the Spider-Man fanbase in the mid 2000s. I swear I've seen it used on at least a couple fake Spider-Man 4 posters.
Indeed it has been :)
And yes people have used this for fake teasers. I remember the Carnage from Spider-Man 4 aka red venom
I am really loving your designs for the MK ladies.
Thanks ^^/
Calaverita looks so cool, too bad the identity was so short lived. It can't be helped, as taking care of Valerie was more important.
The ways you've improved since drawing her last is so immediately striking. The posing feels more natural and dynamic. You've also gotten a stronger eye for anatomy. Really cool to see!
It is a shame that her wrestling career never got the chance to take off, but I don’t think Isa would trade for her relationship with her daughter.
I’m really happy to hear that, I’m quite proud of how much I’ve improved and that it’s been recognized!
i love arlokk, such a freak of a character
Thank you!
Deception Sub-Zero is already so good, but adding the ice arms only serves to make the design even better. Love it!
Haha thanks boss
Hmmm, I recognize all but one. The one with the red hair and pink collar seems vaguely familiar but I cannot put a name to them.
Really, though, props to you for making these characters all feel distinct in terms of their faces. Especially the Punisher, as he's the kind of character who often can just look like a guy when you can't see his logo. Yet you made his face very distinct and instantly recognizable through structure and expression.
Unless that's not him in which case OOPS lmao
That's Rac Shade, the Changing Man—and I don't blame you for not recognizing him! If he seems vaguely familiar, it might be because you saw him in the same animated short I did. It's called "Shade the Changing Man" and you can find it easily; my art of him here is based directly on it.
I'm glad that you're able to recognize them all, especially Punisher! I have Steve Dillon to thank for making Punisher's face as recognizable as his logo, the slicked-back hair and the blocky frown Dillon drew Punisher with has always stuck with me.
Great eye, you can rest easy that it's him!
Holiday Special colors Boba my beloved...
Love the Robot Chicken Star Wars reference in the title too. All that aside, I don't know what kind of texture you used for this art but it gives off a painted canvas sort of look. Really suits the colors used!
I use perlin noise in my pieces along with paper texture assets that are free, bought, or custom made myself with anything I find around the house. But usually perlin noise does the trick to give that nice grainy look depending how much you want . :))
He's colossal! Stupendous! One might even go so far as to say... he's mediocre!
